In my experience, this bulb was particularly popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its antibacterial coating is invisible on the shelf, so I placed a red crossed-out bacteria symbol beside the bulb. Shoppers could recognise the purpose of the range before reading the explanation in their own language.
The band beneath the logo matches the light-colour label beside the base: yellow for warm white (2700 K), green for cool white (4000 K) and blue for cool daylight (6500 K).
LEDVANCE describes a transparent photocatalytic coating on the diffuser. Visible light from the bulb activates the coating, producing reactive radicals at its surface. These oxidise organic matter and can damage bacteria in contact with the coating.
